Places I have actually been to, in Seoul and on trips elsewhere. Every neighborhood here has its own mood and its own regulars, and I write about the spots those regulars keep coming back to, including ones that rarely get written up.
If you are visiting, this is everyday Seoul. If you live here, it is a way to see a familiar city again.
About Oliverham
I liked Seoul enough to settle here. I have lived in Yeonhui-dong and Gongdeok and worked in several other parts of the city, and I am still learning how different each neighborhood feels.
I like cities and the spaces inside them, and I pay attention to how a neighborhood and its shops change over the years. Where people gather, and which places they keep loving, is what I go looking for.
I have traveled a fair amount, and lately it is Tokyo more than anywhere. In any city, what I want to know is where people eat, drink and spend an ordinary evening.
This is where I put the places I found and what I saw there.
